Early scan

I went for an early private scan, I thought I’d off been 10 weeks, but could only be 6, if I was only 6 weeks would anything show on the scan? The lady was very rude so couldn’t really ask her much and this would be my first! She told me the sack was empty and to contact my midwife! What are my chances of there actually being a baby?

Usually an empty sac would suggest either a pregnancy less than 6 weeks or miscarriage. By 6 weeks in some women a heartbeat can be seen. If you thought you should have been between 6-10 and the sac is empty it’s likely not good news, sorry.

The way the lady handled it though was appalling, I would put in a complaint about that. That’s terrible
