Hi all, I just wondered if anyone could please offer any help and guidance?

I have just undergone my 6th round of IVF and suffered a miscarriage in October 2022. I tested 2 weeks after the Embryo transfer and it was BFP! I then had my HCG levels checked and it was 1298u/l on the test day (Thursday) and then had them done again on Monday 13th and it had shot up to 12398u/l!

However, yesterday I was getting a dull ache pain in my right arm and thought nothing of it. Then went to the toilet at 2am and it was pink when I wiped. I have been so scared going to the toilet since and thankfully nothing there until just now when it was like a brown discharge.

Do I have anything to worry about? I'm not in any other pain and have just had bed rest all day. Just gutted if it's going to be another miscarriage

I had pink/brown spotting during my IVF pregnancy. It started a few days after my BFP and continued until around 8.5 weeks. It suddenly stopped one day and the rest of my pregnancy was very smooth. I absolutely know how anxious you feel though. I raised it with my Drs at every check up but they never seemed bothered. Hopefully this positive story will help, it does get easier I promise!

Some light bleeding/ spotting is very common, especially in ivf pregnancies. Has the arm pain gone away? If you get shoulder pain this could be a sign of ectopic but not so much arm pain I don't think. You could call your clinic tomorrow and I am sure they will reassure you. It's so hard isn't it as you will be constantly worried. I'm 14 weeks after ivf and the worry is still there!

Thank you for your responses, it's very reassuring. My arm pain has gone fortunately, I wasn't sure if that's down to my posture though but Eptopic did cross my mind. I will get in touch with my doctors too and hopefully get something sorted or organised, I have registered with the midwife but they said they will be in touch in a couple of weeks.

Congratulations on both of your pregnancies by the way.
