Possible pregnancy after MC?

Hi everyone

So I recently had a MC with my first pregnancy.
Had a D&C on 17th Jan and took a test on 28th Jan which was a clear negative.
We started trying again from this negative test.
Today (14th Feb) I've taken a test that has come back as positive.
I think I'll take another tomorrow and see if it's as strong before I contact the hospital.
Could I be pregnant so quickly after the procedure?

Thanks in advance xx

So sorry to hear about your loss. I had a MMC in August last year. Had the MVA on 30 August, tested negative shortly after. I then fell pregnant immediately and got a positive on 29 September. Baby is doing well so far and is due in June! So yes, definitely possible/likely you're pregnant again! The important thing is that you had that negative test in between. This indicates that this is now a new pregnancy. Sending you all the baby dust for this one x

@UnicornRainbowSky @LMM91x
Thank you both for your replies! You have both reassured me that this is hopefully a new viable pregnancy. Terrifying as it is so quickly!
How did you find out for dates after not having a period to work from?
Xxx

@CB23CB no idea 🤣🤣🤣 i’m half basing this on my heaviest bleed as I had natural MC - which was 15th , I had positive ovulation 2 weeks ish later so I am assuming I’m around 4 weeks ish! I’m going to leave it a week or so then ring EPU to see whT they say xx

@LMM91x ah I see. I'm not sure how I even go about working it out. I'll leave that to the people in the know when I contact the hospital!

Yeah !! I expect similar that your d&c would probably be around the date a new cycle started as you’ve tested positive now xx

I took my surgery date as my first day of my last period. The exact date was then established at the 12 week scan, which put me a few days later than I thought I was.
