She has a 3 year old dd, but has now suffered 4 miscarriages in a row. They all seemed to fail around the 6 -7 weeks. She is now 8 weeks pregnant and the first scan confirmed a heart beat.
I have absalutely every thing crossed for her, can't tell any one in rl, as its a big secret for understandable reasons.
She doesn't use MN, so its just a chance for me to share my anxiety/hope....

Thanks NAB3, for all my problems during pregnancy, I never miscarried. I just feel they have really been for the mill

It really is so hard to have children sometimes.

I was lucky enough to have no trouble getting pregnant but have had problems during pregnancy and labour, the children have had problems and I have had AND and PND but still would do it all again to have the children. The good more than makes up for the bad and I hope your sister in law has an easy time of it this time and is soon holding her new baby.

thanks for best wishes and vibes. She has said she may not feel able to try any more if the worst happens, but maybe this will the time when it works out for them

surely she should be referred to a specialist if she is having recurrent miscarriages?

let us hope that is not needed and she carries to term. fingers and toes crossed too x

She is under a specialist now, after the third one, I think a lot of health trust have that rule don't they?

do they ? that seems terribly unfair. hope she has a positive outcome x

My very best wishes for your SIL. I know some of what you must be feeling. My brother and SIL have been trying for a baby for over 7 years. She's had 5 mc and an ectopic, where she lost a tube. She has seen every specialst you can think of - and abroad as well, but no luck. Tried egg donation last year (as the last specialist she saw believes it is a problem with her eggs, as she always mc at 7-8 weeks). She got pregnant with the egg donation - and we all went mad celebrating... and then that also went ectopic and had to be terminated. They are going to try egg donation again this summer. I can't tell you how much I wish a baby for them. They would be such wonderful parents, and they both yearn for a child. It breaks my heart.

Anyway, everything crossed for your SIL. Keep us posted!
