Hi all,

I am just curious,

I had a missed miscarriage and this is my new pregnancy, I am currently 6 weeks 4 days, I went for an early scan and we seen the heart beating away.

Does this bring the risk or miscarriage down?

I am also worrying as with all my pregnancies I have always had bad sickness but this time round I am feeling way too normal? Should I be worried? Or because there's a nice heartbeat can I relax x

@shan19892 seeing a heartbeat is great but obviously doesn't mean you can't MC going forward but as each day goes by the risk of MC is lower and lower. Symptoms come and go which is a total head fuck - try not to worry! I ended up going for a private scan at 8 +4 too as my symptoms were so erratic and tbh, it's the only way to know for sure that everything is okay in that moment. Try to relax and enjoy and take each day as it comes.

@shan19892 I think a good heartbeat definitely does bring the risk down! I think it’s after the 8 week mark the risk goes down even more xx

@shan19892 I had a private scan at 9 weeks as the most common time to miscarry is up to 8 weeks. However, every weeks that goes by the chance drops
