6 months pregnant - terrified and unprepared

Hi, I’m 6 months pregnant. It’s been a difficult pregnancy - sickness and gestational diabetes. I feel completely terrified of what’s ahead and also unprepared. Haven’t bought a thing really and we’re moving house soon to an area where there are no antenatal classes available in the area. Just looking for any advice. TIA

Don't worry - everyone feels that way at some point, and potentially even momentarily regrets the pregnancy because of anxiety. But it all comes together in the weeks before the baby comes, you will go into 'nesting' mode and be highly motivated to get everything organised. You can do NCT classes online and meet other new parents remotely who can be a great support for you. In terms of buying stuff the only absolutely critical things are a car seat, somewhere for baby to sleep, and some clothes. Also ideally a pram. Everything else essential (nappies and muslins for example) you can buy the day before you're due, or even send your partner out post birth. You need a lot less than you think you do! Good luck!
