Has this happened to anyone else ?

Dramatic day today, went into Triage as hadn’t felt baby move for some time! They hooked me up to the machine & 10 minutes in I felt a bit sick and all of a sudden went DIZZY! Had to call the emergency buzzer! I passed out and my blood pressure dropped to 62/31 and babies heart rate dropped! They got me on my side and put a cannula in, and after around 30 mins started to perk up!

It was very scary and they have put I down to Vasovagal Syncope?! Tried to look online at more about this and seems to be pressure on the Vena Cava? Has anyone else had anything similar ?

Thankfully baby is fine and I've slept since they let me come home xx

Yes, happened to me with our first baby, was very embarrassing!
I was at a midwife appointment quite far on and laid quite far back on the bed. I felt a bit funny and then all of a sudden really sleepy. Next thing I remember is waking up to a panicked MW getting the Dr in and an ambulance being called.
Had to get wheeled out through the reception area and blue lighted to hospital. Started being sick in the ambulance which in turn, set my husband off being sick as he doesn’t do well with it 🙈
Was monitored in hospital and given some food, thankfully all was fine and I was allowed to go home.
Think it was due to the weight of the baby pressing on the large vein.

I've suffered these episodes my whole pregnancy and it's just been put down to this. It's scary but I suppose I'm grateful nothing serious is wrong. Hope you don't suffer anymore xx
