Those who had c-sections...

Did you experience a lot of discomfort in the early stages of your subsequent pregnancy?

I'm about 6 weeks and very uncomfortable at times.

Coupled with my heart rate rising then dropping again (Fitbit) I'm now convinced it's a miscarriage.

Just looking for reassurance.

@Klex hey! I had and have pulling / pinching around previous section scar! Apparently it's totally normal.

It feels like period cramps for me.

I had a C-Section over 7 years ago, and just had a BFP last week, so I'm only about 5 weeks now, not quite as far along. I had a lot of cramps at the beginning, now it's more like a muscle is being pulled near my scar if I sit up too fast. It is something I'm worried about though, as my incision took a long, long time to heal.
As for the heart rate thing, I've googled it a lot as mine seems to be dropping too. I don't think it's as straight forward as google leads us to believe. I also remember during my last pregnancy noticing early on (as I was sitting doing a lot of intricate painting) I could physically feel my hr being really slow and worrying I wouldn't be pumping enough blood 🙈 but I must have been!

Period like cramps are really normal in early pregnancy. I've had mild aches in my lower tummy, mild cramps, I also had one day where the cramps felt that bad it made me feel sick. This was all in early pregnancy and I'm now 16+2.

I had a C-section 7.5 years ago and it’s not had any affect in this pregnancy but my RHR did drop around 7 weeks so I took my Fitbit off as I was obsessing (I had 2 early miscarriages) and I’m now 12 weeks. At 9 weeks I had a private scan and baby had a strong heartbeat and was measuring as expected so the RHR drop didn’t mean a loss and I’ve not put the Fitbit back on. I probably won’t until after I start feeling it moving

@Klex I had period pains in the beginning of this pregnancy and my pregnancy with DD plus backache! Felt like period was coming, didn't stop until about 10/11 weeks and still get them occasionally and I'm 22 weeks! X

I had period type cramps during the early stages of my recent pregnancy too, it was 2 years after an emergency c section.

No never had any pain/side effects from previous csections in early pregnancy.

I had a section two years ago and have had on/off pulling sensation where my scar is and slight pain nothing major, I've had period pains from the beginning on and off but I had this in all my pregnancies
