Help me understand scans?

I had a scan 10 days ago which shown a bleed, a pregnancy sac and a yolk sac. No fetal pole.
Today I had another scan to see any progress and the pregnancy sac has grown, the bleed is resolving but still only a sac... no fetal pole.
I need to come back in a weeks time for answers.
This isn't good is it? 😔

It depends how far along you are. How big was the sack? Did they give you an estimate of how may weeks you measured?

I have had both a sack that turned into a foetus and a blighted ovum, where the feral pole never developed and ended up miscarrying.

@Dogsandbabies when I went for my original scan I was meant to be between 6 and 7 weeks. I was measuring under 6 weeks. Today's scan shown sac has doubled in size but nurse stated it hasn't grown enough for her to be comfortable with it

Sorry @BeautifulJames this sounds more like my blighted ovum.

I went twice at 6 weeks and then 10 days later. The sack had grown but no feral pole had developed.
