How long did you get pregnant after MMC

I’ve been pregnant 4 times and each of those I got pregnant first try. After my most previous miscarriage I’m now on my second period and it’s driving me mad I haven’t got pregnant. My periods are bang on and the ovulation kit always confirm my 2 positive ovulation days . Are there reasons you can’t get pregnant even though I have regular period + confirmed ovulation? I doubt I have endometriosis and I know it could be to do with low sperm count but are there other reasons?

Firstly putting that kind of pressure on yourself won’t be conducive to TTC, i understand your frustration but try and relax it can take anywhere up to 12 months+ for a healthy, fertile couple to conceive so there is no need to worry that it hasn’t happened just yet. After a miscarriage it may take some time for your body to settle back down, hormones will be all over the show. I had a MMC in February last year where I had to have surgery. If it gives you any hope I fell pregnant 5 months after and I’m currently 30 weeks. Before the MMC we had been trying for 13 months. dependant on your age you may want to seek help from the GP after 6 months or 12 months. Wish you all the best x

My first pregnancy after my Mc it took 12 months exactly to fall pregnant again, when trying for our second I had a mmc at 12 weeks and fell pregnant four months later, I am now 22 weeks xx

Depend on your age, ovulating each month doesn't mean you will get pregnant. There are other factors like quality of eggs which drops with age. For example from age 40 onwards as much as 70-80% eggs are not viable, so as with age it can take longer to catch that good egg.

Thanks everyone. Sorry I didn’t mention my age I’m 33 and already have an almost 4 year old. Can’t stop worrying myself silly that something in my body is wrong now as I’ve fell pregnant all first tries and now after 2 recurrent MMC I’m on my second period since trying in December.

I got pregnant 2 months after my first MMC and one month after my second. I was 33 and 36

Sorry for your loss Flowers. I'm afraid previous time to conceive has no influence on any subsequent pregnancy.

I fell pregnant 8 months after my mmc. She's now 2 and a half and I have an 8 week old ds.

I am sorry to hear about your miscarriage. When you got pregnant the other 3 times does that mean you have had 4 miscarriages? Or you mean you have 3 children and one miscarriage?

I think if you have recurrent miscarriages then it might be worth seeing a fertility specialist, to see if they can find a reason or ways they can help the next pregnancy stick.

Getting pregnant first try almost every time though is great news for your fertility. I think you can take a lot of hope from this that you will probably be pregnant again soon.

Sorry I just read the update, you had one baby and three miscarriages then? I think a fertility specialist might be able to help.

Sometimes they can help by giving you progesterone early in pregnancy and monitoring to see if there's anything else you can do to help the pregnancy stick.

It took me 3 cycles after mmc, with the mmc I fell first month so I get the panic, I just think it took a little while for it to go back to normal but I don’t think every egg every month would always work even with regular ovulation and good sperm xx

I had an MMC in May. I took a few months to emotionally recover and to get to a place where I could accept what happened. Then hubby and I tried in my October cycle and I fell pregnant straight away. I’m now 18 weeks’ pregnant. I’m 43! It’s my second baby.

HiCYa · 11/02/2023 07:53

@BerryTowner yes you’re right I had 3 miscarriages in total. (1 chemical before my son and 2 recurrent MMC within 4 months trying for our second). I know you’re meant to have 3 recurrent miscarriages in order to be referred but luckily the sonographer who scanned me said she would still refer me, I’m on the nhs waiting list it’s been 3 months. The doctor at the epu said if I were to fall pregnant again they’d give me progesterone.
just hoping it will happen and stick soon 😞
