TTC and throat infection

Currently TTC and ovulation due tmra. In typical bad timing I've developed v sore throat and very minor temp tonight. (37.8ish)

I'm prone to throat infections and tonsillitis and get them a couple of times a year so nothing out of the ordinary for me. Sometimes I fight them off myself sometimes need antibiotics. This feels like one I might be able to fight off myself

I don't want to miss our opportunity to get pregnant this month...I'm wondering does anyone of actually getting pregnant whilst u had a minor sickness of some sort?

Can a temperature impact ovulation, egg quality etc? Am I better sitting this month out ? 🙁

Any advice appreciated

Ps haven't taken anything for it so far apart from paracetamol

Sometimes being poorly can delay ovulation but if you’re feeling up to ttc then go for it

Ps had no idea that being poorly impacted ovulation good to know

@Sleeplessin2023 it probably doesn’t every time for everyone but often it delays it as your body is busy fighting the infection/virus then when getting better will ovulate

I had a minor throat infection/swollen lymph nodes in my neck near the start of a cycle, it delayed ovulation by about 5 days for me. I was measuring with opk and bbt. That was the cycle I concieved and I’m now 27 weeks.

I would say keep ttc.

Yeah go for it. I was ill the vast majority of the month we conceived DC2. I think I only managed to scrounge up the will and energy to DTD once that cycle as well.
