Anyone convinced they saw a boy potty shot at 20 weeks?

Hi everyone

I had my 20 week scan 2 weeks ago. I was adamant I didn't want to find out the sex as I had found out my last pregnancy and I wanted the surprise this time.

Anyway I am almost certain when she was measuring the femur there was 'a meat and 2 veg;' between the legs. Could this have been something else?

I said to her I think I know the sex and she said 'oh goodness I'm sorry I didn't realise you wanted to know, I didn't look', and I said no I don't want to know but I think I seen something sticking out. She then moved position of the scanner and it was a sideview and the baby was kicking its legs and again I thought I seen something between the legs and she said 'oh I see what you mean now'.

I feel like the surprise is now ruined and know its almost certainly a boy even though I never officially got it confirmed. Has this happened to anyone else where they thought they seen a boy potty shot and it turned out to be a girl?

I have been tormenting myself with looking online every day at different potty shots etc and just feel like I need to know even though I don't want to.

Anyone with a similar experience and what the outcome was?

Thanks. (Sorry for the long post, muddled mum is not the word for it!!)

Hmm, maybe it could've been umbilical insert ☺️x I also had my scan recently and thought I was looking at male bits until the sonographer said 'good umbilical cord insertion' 😂
