Bump size 24 weeks

I’m 24 weeks tomorrow and still don’t really have a proper bump. My stomach is bigger but I just look heavier and not properly pregnant. It’s very easy to hide with baggy clothes. Anyone else in the same boat? The baby was in the 50th centile at my anantomy scan a few weeks ago so hoping everything is still ok.

Try not to panic or compare to others. I never had a proper rounded bump and could easily hide my pregnancy well into 30 weeks. It was only around the 37 week mark it became more noticeable. I had so many comments in the last few weeks of pregnancy such as ‘you don’t big enough to look like you will be having a baby in a few weeks’ which would really annoy me. I had growth scans throughout and baby is a good estimated size and weight. Your bump will suddenly pop overnight I’m sure ☺️

Is this your first baby? If it is, it's pretty normal. Your abdominal muscles are still strong and unstretched. If you have a retroverted uterus, it can cause your bump to appear later.

I have a retroverted uterus. With my first, I just looked a bit heavier (though I am obese) until about 32 weeks. After that I well and truly looked pregnant.

Thanks both. It is my first baby more or less - I had three first trimester miscarriages but they were so early they didn’t stretch out my abdominals.

I also have a retroverted uterus.

Hopefully all is ok but it’s just so not how I expected to look at 24 weeks pregnant.

This is very common, especially if baby is positioned more into your back. A retroverted uterus can often cause a smaller bump.

with my first I was the opposite, I was in maternity clothes from 10 weeks, there was no hiding it, which I hated.
