Flashing lights in vision 25 weeks pregnant

I have been getting some flashing lights in vision when coughing or floaters when I go into bright light or room, I have my blood pressure checked regularly and scan due to premature birth and also a late miscarriage at 20 weeks blood pressure and urine has been fine and baby is growing fine but has anyone els experienced this I’m also on aspirin deltaparin and cyclogest. I have booked for a eye test also.

I had this and went up to triage. They were atypical migraines.

Thankyou for the reply! Did you actually get a head ache with it as mine is just happening at random no head ache ? I have obviously told my midwife and doctor about this multiple times and they have been great checking blood pressure and even blood test to rule everything out but everything is coming back fine and still experiencing it ?

I've been experiencing this, but I am early second trimester. I've read it can be a sign of pre eclampsia after 20 weeks. Have they checked your urine for protein? If you've already told your midwife/doctor about it then perhaps start making a diary of what you've eaten/being doing to see if there is any correlation? Just and idea 😊

Yes weekly checks they are being very vigilant but everything is coming back fine so it’s baffling me, wondering if maybe the meds I’m taking could be affecting it ?

I had this and panicked. Maternity unit checked me out but told me to go to opticians. It was a type of migraine, last couple of weeks, didn't come with a headache, just the lights. It passed luckily and so far hasn't came back xx

iv been experiencing the floaters for a few week but all the obs are normal so just booked a eye test but then coughed this morning and not even that hard and saw loads of sparkle type lights in vision so was a bit like wtf lol also been checking my own blood pressure at home and seems normal all I am worried about is developing pre eclampsia to be fair I could care less if my eyes were falling out as long as the baby is okay

Aw bless you, try not stress too much about it cos that won't help. Hopefully it just passes and it's one of those weird things. Reassuring thing is midwives are happy with your obs 🙂 x

I have only started to experience it since I been pregnant wondering if it’s just something to do with hormones hopefully.
I see the midwife again tomorrow so should get another bp and urine check that’s all I can do for now is just keep a close eye on things. joys of pregnancy lol
