I'm just at the pub at I've ordered a crodino which is a non alcoholic drink but when I Googled it says it has tonic water in which has something called quinine in which isn't safe for pregnant ppl. Can anyone shed any light? Thanks. Slightly worried.

I don’t know much on the topic but have had the same wobble! My early pregnancy was spent enjoying non-alcoholic G&Ts a couple of times a month. From the reading I did, it wasn’t an issue at all unless you were drinking LOADS of it. It isn’t on the NHS food website, so I would take comfort in that ☺️ I’m now almost 30 weeks and baby is currently perfect. Honestly, as I’ve seen people say on here numerous times, everything could be “harmful” in pregnancy if you google enough. Just stick to NHS guidance and you should be fine. Enjoy your drink and the rest of your pregnancy!

I had an alcohol-free G&T most evenings in the later months of pregnancy, reassured by reading that the quinine in a can of tonic water is really at very low concentration. The baby is three months old and perfectly ok.
