Maternity Payments - spread over 12 months

Hi all! Wondered if anyone could help me.

I've asked for my maternity payments to be evenly spread out over the 46 weeks. With my son, I remember my first and last payment were lower. However I can't remember how much by or how to calculate this. I'm a nurse, I earn £32k as a top band 5. My monthly wage varies.

Could anyone help me with this? Payroll are unable to give me a forecast.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Hi
I work for the nhs as a band 4 and am 30 weeks and have recently sorted my mat pay I've taken the normal amount of maternity time and have spread the payments and it's the first 2 months payments that are lower for me. How far along are you? I waited until 24 weeks so I could get a forecast as they work it out from weeks 15 to 25 I think and payroll had no issues giving me a forecast for multiple options

Heath2330 · 06/02/2023 10:27

Just to add I don't know how they work out the percentage

QuinnofHearts · 06/02/2023 10:28

Thanks for replying! My payroll say they can't give me a forecast. So annoying! I'm band 5, full time.

That's so strange I wonder why? How far are you have you worked your weeks that it's worked out on? I know that your overtime during them weeks is also included in working out the average

Heath2330 · 06/02/2023 10:30

I'd be happy to private message the estimates they have sent me they don't contain any of my private details but I'm a band 4 in 30 hours so not sure if they would be much help to you

QuinnofHearts · 06/02/2023 10:54

See the overtime is what worries me a bit, purely as I had a HUGE payment at 25 weeks as it was backdated pay! Bless you, would you mind doing that? I'd be so grateful z
