Am I leaking amniotic fluid?

How do you know if you are? Whenever I go for a wee there seems to be 'dribble' of liquid after. Seems silly but I cant tell if its wee or fluid as I'm always drinking water so my wee doesnt really have a colour!

Can you collect some on a tissue and smell it? - you know the distinctive smell of urine.

If, on the other hand it smells a bit like semen then it's probably fluid.

How far on are you? Is it dribbling all the time or only after a wee?
Are you using a pad or anything? If so, how quickly are you having to change them?

Im 29+1, its only when I go wee really. A couple of times its happened if I've just been sitting down and baby is doing the tango. I've been doing my pelvic exercise things.

put a maternity pad on (not alwasy or something that will absorb it) then smell it.

My waters leaked from 30 weeks and i went till 38 before he was born but they will need to keep an eye on you x

Hmm I have the same thing, I am Mrs leaky at the mo. The LO was tapdancing on my bladder last night and I had to change my knickers! I did have a sniff tho and it did seem more like wee than semen - it's been so long since I've been in contact with the latter tho I may have forgotten.

best thing would be to ask your midwife she can tell with a swab that turns black if you are leaking
