Possible subchorionic hematoma in third trimester

My first birth was pretty standard until I had a large PPH. (Uterus didn’t contract down properly apparently).

It’s taken me a lot to get to a place where I feel I can have a second child - I’m currently 32 weeks & last week suffered a huge bleed and started contracting. I was in hospital 5 days - whilst there had two much smaller bleeds.

I was looked after VERY well, but Doctors couldn’t say why I had bled, scans of the placenta were fine. And it’s unrelated to my previous PPH. But they’ve basically said it could be bleeding behind the placenta which they aren’t able to pick up on a scan.

Having googled it - subchorionic hematoma seems to match their only possible explanation.

But everything I’ve read said it will be picked up in scans and usually in first trimester.

I’m Third trimester and have been told it’s not possible to pick up in scans.

I’ve been told I will likely bleed again - and it could be another big one so I’m now home and on bed rest until baby comes but I keep getting small bleeding on and off. That they advise delivering around 37/38 weeks with c-section or induction. (Gulp)

I guess I’m asking - has anyone had a similar experience this late on in pregnancy as I’m terrified I will have another huge bleed. I keep having bits of bleeding now every few days.

TIA
