Hello everyone, today I am
5w + 3d pregnant and I did a pregnancy test from the First response and the line on the right is very faint.
The test doesn't have any instructions on.
I don't know which is the control and which is the test line?
First time I use this brand .
Can someone please help me 😵‍💫

I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure the control line is on the right side and it's showing you've got a dye stealer/v strong positive! Hopefully some1 else comes along to confirm/give you more advice!

I usually buy the clearblue but this one was cheaper on Amazon so I ordered it - not happy I think isn't even original as has no marks on it and not even the 1st response sign..

I read on Google that can happen the test line to strap the dye from the control line

I do know what you mean! It looks pretty plain. I think there's 2 diff types of frer tests and I've always bought the 1 that has the wee pics to show whether it's negative or positive. Maybe you've just bought the other 1?

I used many of these tests and as far as I understood, if you hold the test by the handle and not the test end the control line should be the one on the right.
I think the darker line on your test is the control.

@PoppySeed31 i think I got the one that says results in 45 seconds - pfff hopefully this doesn't mean my pregnancy isn't progressing 😞 can't deal with that again - I had a miscarriage just 3 months ago.

@rebecca100 thank you for your reply 😌 I thought the same that C line is on the right ...

@AnnaPr1992 do you have a photo or a link of the test you bought? I've actually been trying to look on Amazon to find it but can't seem to find it 😂.

As far as I can see the right line is the control so it looks like you've got a super strong positive line ☺️. I looked at a few of the photos in the reviews.

@AnnaPr1992 I did sooooo many of these tests in the first few weeks, all the positive lines varied in darkness which freaked me out. My midwife said not get hung up on it and often is just the tests varying rather than something being wrong. I do appreciate that sometimes a line getting fainter isn't always good news. I am now nearly 28 weeks.

I don't think it's upside down. The pic on the right is the right way round

I am convinced the tests aren't original 1st Response
I will go to get a Clearblue like I get always and I will update you 😌

This test is from this morning at 6am and just 2 days ago clearblue digital showed me a 3+
( I am still testing due to anxiety issues haha 🥹)

I had this too and bought directly from Superdrug. The line in the right is the control line. You have a dye stealer!

I highly recommend Accu News or Clear&simple plastic 2 packs, you can get them as cheap as £1 per pack in home bargain. They are pink dye tests and much easier to read as lines are thicker.

@AnnaPr1992 this is the fast response test, I bought mine from Superdrug and it looks exactly the same! The line on the left is the positive line so as others have said definitely a dye stealer and no need to worry xx

I did the same a few months ago
posted on here panicked the test was back to front and the levels had dropped... 😞
nope it was the opposite
i have high hcg levels and the test line stole nearly all the dye!
im now 31 weeks
looks really good test congrats x
