Clary Sage

Anyone had any success using Clary Sage oil to get labour going? I am a week overdue now and really want to do anything I can go get baby out rather than needing an induction. Obviously understand the use of Clary Sage may have been coincidental for some. I have already tried most other suggestions! Thank you.

I've been drinking sage and raspberry leaf for 2 weeks now and still no labour in sight 😂

I have been drinking raspberry leaf too but it’s meant to ‘prepare’ the uterus and not actually help with labour. Hopefully will have some benefit once labour starts 😊 haven’t heard drinking sage can help?

I used it in the bath and on a tissue under my pillow for a couple of weeks before birth and baby came on due date. Like you say, could be coincidental. No adverse effects though so worth a try.

Didn't use clary sage but my friends all swore by walking up a big hill at speed to bring on Labour! I did it and my waters went the next day - probably was a coincidence but it felt good knowing I was doing something!!

It made my bratxon hicks so much worse but did nothing useful. I used it every day in the bath and was still 2 weeks late!

I used it in the bath and went into Labour late the following day but I was a week overdue so my opinion was it made no difference Hmm
Sex is the best thing really.

Never worked for me. Used it in the bath and rubbed on bump from 38 weeks. Came at 40+2. Tried everything, nothing worked.

get relaxed and watch some comedies and get those happy hormones flowing, they trigger labour.

Well I chucked a load in the bath and DS arrived VERY QUICKLY thereafter (unplanned homebirth). I was only 38 weeks but I’d had a sweep a couple of days before to try to avoid an induction so could very easily have been a coincidence.
