Any had this happen?
I've had positive tests from missed period, going from 1-2 then 2-3 last week on clear blue . Just took a cheap test and it was stark white (pink dye test)

Should be 6+5 today

This did happen to me and it turned out to be a chemical pregnancy - hopefully that’s not the case for you. I got lighter lines before a negative and then a bleed.

Rtmhwales · 03/02/2023 21:46

Could be a chemical, could be a faulty test.

Bubblemachiene · 03/02/2023 21:47

Ah really. I hope not but that's wat I'm thinking.
Just done 2 more, another cheapie test diluted this time, still stark white. Clear blue weeks indicator was saying pregnant 2-3 weeks but that was sane as a week ago

If you’re still getting 2-3 weeks on the digital I’d be hopeful still. Mine didn’t say 3+ until I was 7 weeks pregnant! Fingers crossed for you OP.

JoKB · 03/02/2023 21:59

stick to one type - and test again tomorrow with morning urine if possible (clear blue sounds like the best bet!) fingers crossed they’ll show something

BambiBooBoo · 04/02/2023 09:20

@Bubblemachiene - could be the Hook effect ?

Fairylightsandstuff · 04/02/2023 09:29

it’s not chemical pregnancy if your almost 7 weeks. Chemical pregnancy is when you test early and it’s positive but you still come on your period on the normal day or maybe a day or two out.

I would be really worried tbh. Is there anyway you can book a private scan? First response tests are more sensitive than the digital ones so you should definitely be getting a positive on those.

Hope you get it sorted 💐

Bubblemachiene · 04/02/2023 10:38

@Fairylightsandstuff what else could it be? I've not got a first response I only gad 2 cheap pink line tests and the clear blue digital.

OP posts:
Bubblemachiene · 04/02/2023 10:47

Also I've took the tests out the bathroom bin & they both have faint lines on now, one light pink one is barley visible but there

Happinessandrainbows · 04/02/2023 10:48

When did you get a positive last? CP is sometimes defined as m/c before 6 weeks so it is possible it could be a CP, did you get any positives since you were 6 weeks?
Is it the same brand/type of test that gave you negatives today?

Happinessandrainbows · 04/02/2023 10:49

Interesting. Would you consider booking an early private scan or getting your blood hCG tested to see if it's going up?
I know it's stressful x

Bubblemachiene · 04/02/2023 10:52

@Happinessandrainbows I goy a strong frer last week and a 2-3 weeks on clear blue digital
Then last night- 2-3 again on clear blue & 2 cheap negatives which have now both developed lines one stronger than the other
One was with diluted wee with 50percent water but can't remember which one was which

milkmonitor20 · 04/02/2023 10:53

Honestly, and meant with kindness, step away from the tests. You've had a positive - you're pregnant. You won't get any answers from doing more. Unless you have a bleed you need to work on the assumption you're pregnant between now and a scan.

Bubblemachiene · 04/02/2023 10:55

@milkmonitor20 I know, only reason I'm doing tests I'd because I had an early scan bad experience couldn't see anything besides the sack but it was abdominal which I now know it should have been vaginal

OP posts:
Happinessandrainbows · 04/02/2023 11:45

@Bubblemachiene true, abdominals can be very tricky in early pregnancy. When was your scan? With very early ones people usually only see the sac to begin with x

Bubblemachiene · 04/02/2023 11:49

It was Thursday @Happinessandrainbows
I was going to book another somewhere else where they do internal scans but it says they must be 2 weeks from any previous scans

OP posts:
FarmBaby3 · 04/02/2023 12:04

I think if you went elsewhere it would be okay. I think they just don't want people going weekly.

Fairylightsandstuff · 04/02/2023 12:04

@Bubblemachiene well if you were pregnant and then a few weeks later you’re not then that’s a miscarriage? You need to get a scan.

have you had any cramps or bleeding? And do you feel pregnant? Morning sickness etc.

Fairylightsandstuff · 04/02/2023 12:09

Sorry just saw your updates. How far gone were you when had the scan?

Bubblemachiene · 04/02/2023 12:30

It was Thursday gone @Fairylightsandstuff I would have been 6+4
I've just rang another clinc they said they strongly recommend it be 2 weeks until they can scan me

OP posts:
milkmonitor20 · 04/02/2023 20:12

@Bubblemachiene I had similar in my first pregnancy - went for a scan just before seven weeks and nothing to be seen. Went back two weeks later and there it was.

He's now seven.

But honestly, the tests won't tell you anything that you need to know.
