Cervix kicks

Hi guys,

I'm 25+1 today, 2 days ago, I felt a lot of kicks, punches or head bumps on my cervix (baby has always been head down, 12 weeks, 20 weeks and 23 weeks, unless he has changed position). I felt it throughout the day but couldn't feel kicks on my sides which I'm used to as he is very active. I'm guessing now he was facing my back maybe so I couldn't feel much except on my cervix. He kept hitting it, it started to feel very uncomfortable and I got worried as I couldn't feel anything else whether it was actually him hitting it! Even when I drove I felt the blows on my cervix and throughout the whole day.
Had a community midwife appointment the next day and she said I should've called triage if I noticed a reduction in movements, and that it was unlikely to be the baby hitting the cervix and it's very cushioned?
She checked the babys heartbeat and called triage at the hospital for me. They called me in. They did the same thing the midwife did, checked urine, my BP and my baby's heartbeat which was all present. She said it could be the baby hitting the cervix, so she will send me home but if I want to check then go up to triage but it was an incredibly long wait but she wanted to send me home. The same night I started feeling the movements all over my stomach again as usual. Today I've been feeling it majority of the night and all day so far regularly. Since I felt kicks in my stomach, I havent felt anything on my cervix.

I am a bit confused. I panicked due to what the community midwife had said and sort of confused why I wasnt checked more. At the hospital they said they never heard about what I felt on my cervix. (I described it has bubble popping feelings on the cervix)

Has anyone else felt this? I was so scared that day and thought maybe my cervix was dialating or something.

Thanks!!

Oh I have this regularly in the day since about 21weeks and I’m now 26/27weeks. I’m sure it’s the cervix because of the location and it’s just an odd sensation. It’s like a bubble/popping sensation or very gentle thud. Although mine is softened because the placenta is sort of over the cervix, so I think it’s them kicking the placenta into my cervix? I really don’t like the feeling. I don’t feel movements otherwise during the day, but in the evening and morning it’s side kicks.

I really hope it’s kicks and not something else happening.

This actually makes me feel a lot better because that's exactly how I feel! I did feel them before too, around 21 weeks too and I just assumed it was the baby. I've noticed today that I feel the same "thuds" but in my stomach lower down, so I'm sure it is our baby just hitting our cervix!! Definitely not a good feeling at all. I kept checking if there was a leak or change of discharge because of it because it felt so weird but nothing. I have an anterior placenta!

Mines anterior and over the cervix. It’s a weird feeling isn’t it? Hard to fully explain. I can feel actual kicks when it’s to the sides, or from my belly button and just above. I feel odd movement below my belly button but it’s dull/mild. Then that odd popping/thud when it’s at the bottom.

I’m 40 weeks and my cervix has been pummelled since week 17. It gets worse….nearly took my legs out in ASDA

Yep my friends and I have always felt this and said it’s hard to explain to our DH what it feels like to have something constantly twanging you cervix, because that’s what it feels like to me, it’s not just the kicking or bumping into it’s this odd twanging sensation and I hate it. Baby has been feet down this entire pregnancy and it’s all the time.

Yes!!! That's exactly it. I'm just surprised my midwife or not many know what it is. It's definitely the baby because it happens sometimes and then stops. Such an uncomfortable feeling
