Hey all I've already posted before about this issue. About two months ago I started having floaters and my eyes just hurt and felt dry all the time, got my eyes tested and needed new glasses but that didn't help, so ended up going to my dr who sent me to a specialist at the hospital eyes looked healthy! Soo..left it at that, but I felt unwell the weekend and went to triage I'm now 28+4 they did my bp, urine, and sent off bloods all fine, my bp always runs higher anywhere else like today at my midwife appointment it was 139/84 but came home and checked as I keep an eye on it at home and was down to 130/74... Had anyone had these sort of symptoms with their eyes but it was never preeclampsia? I feel like my eyes are very sensitive to light the feel dry and painful, I am borderline anemic and gave an 8 month old maybe my eyes are just tired?

I have aura migraines which sound a bit like this. They are common in pregnancy too and I’ve had a couple since testing positive even though I hadn’t had one for a few years before. Have a Google and see if the symptoms sound similar.

I'll have a look thank you, can they last week's on end?

Hey I’m currently 15+3 and I’ve had floaters since Saturday but had my eyes tested yesterday and all fine. Spoken to docs and they’re going to try get me in for BP checking tomorrow but I feel ok on myself. Both my sisters said they had floaters all way through which reassures me a little. I hope they get better for you x

Do you get much sleep? I have the same thing and my eyes have been tested and fine, I'm pretty sure for me at least it's because I get such rubbish sleep (not had a single decent night without interruptions in almost 3 years). The nights where I have especially bad sleep my vision is worse the next day - dry eyes, hard to focus, blurriness, floaters, even sometimes hallucinating a bit e.g. thinking I saw a bug or something and nothings there.

Nope! I have a 10 month old, lucky if I get two three hours a night all broken up ATM!! She's a terrible sleeping so I do think you could be correct with the lack of sleep thing

my Sleep has been terrible and I’ve been wondering if it is that :( x

flowers246 · 30/03/2023 07:32

Thank you, I’m wondering if it is because I’m not sleeping much at all :( x

I saw my GP today, my BP was slightly high but been told to do at home for next 7 days and it was fine when tested at home. Still getting floaters in eyes everyday, I am genuinely exhausted though just not sleeping at all so hoping it’s just that. I hope you're doing ok 😊 x

My eyes got very dry during pregnancy. Try using some good eye drops?
Your optician would be able to recommend some.
