Question for women who had hyperemesis during pregnancy

Question for those who had hyperemesis in pregnancy.

Did any of you notice you struggled with food even after pregnancy ended? My baby is 6 months old and I don’t like food, at all. I managed to eat unhealthy foods though, like McDonald’s and takeaways. But normal food was so unappetising.

I’m pregnant again now, I’m about 6 weeks and 4 days and I feel nauseous if I don’t eat, but I can’t bring myself to eat much. Today I had a complan drink which has 26 vitamins and minerals in, a glass of lucozade to calm my stomach, a piece of toast, a biscuit, a bit of carrot and a banana. It is such a chore to eat.

I’m wondering if my pregnancy with my first child triggered an eating disorder. I don’t have a unhealthy body image, I don’t avoid eating because of my weight. I just can’t stand food. I’ve always been a bit of a picky eater but before my first pregnancy I would eat full meals. I haven’t had a proper meal for a good 18 months now. I just have snacks

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I had it with my second child and it just caused a food aversion but slowly got better. Mind 3 years later and there’s still some foods I won’t touch but I’m willing to roll the dice again for baby number 3 hoping it’s another girl.
