I’ve just had my blood results back which are positive for antibodies.
This is my second pregnancy but the baby in my first was rhesus negative herself so I never needed Anti D, and neither of us had any issues.
In this pregnancy the baby tested rhesus positive. I had Anti D after an amnio at 21 weeks, and again standardly at 29 weeks (this was after the blood draw though).
The results from the blood draw have shown I’ve developed antibodies. My previous draw in the first trimester was negative.
What’s happened? Could it be the Anti D at 21 weeks that has influenced the test? I haven’t heard anything from anyone but my local Midwife team is useless and ‘forgot’ I needed Anti D at 28 weeks, I had to phone and check when I hadn’t heard anything and they rushed me in that day.
What now, should I phone my consultant?
thanks x
