Bleeding at 6/7 weeks

Hi,

I had a miscarriage last October, and fell pregnant again in December unplanned. We booked a private scan which showed the baby with a good heartbeat at 6 weeks, fast forward 5 days after I had a bleed in the evening where it felt and looked like a period. This lasted all of a minute and afterwards, it’s been the random pink/brown when I’ve wiped. Some days nothing, some days it’s there a couple of times but nothing drastic since the bleed about a week ago now. No cramps either.

I have a scan booked for Friday, but it’s all going so slow and I can barely concentrate on anything!! I’m wondering if anyone has had similar, and if so to share their story because I just don’t know what to make of this😔

thankyou!

I hope this is the same as I’ve just experienced. Just over a week ago I had the exact same thing you described and I was terrified. I had a scan and all was fine and they said this can happen to a lot of women. All has been fine the last few days with no more “old blood” when I wipe and my symptoms have hit me like a ton of bricks so that’s all good signs. I hope you have the same outcome!

Thanks so much for replying! It’s so reassuring to hear a positive outcome…Friday feels like forever away at the moment! I hope it’s the same for me as it was for you🙏

Hello

Rewinding back to my pregnancy with my daughter I had a big bleed @11 weeks pregnant. Passed tissue as well.
All was absolutely fine & she's now a happy 2.5 year old

Good luck x

I had a bleed basically identical to yours at 7 weeks - I was absolutely certain it was a miscarriage. Had a scan 4 days after the big bleed and all was fine. They couldn't see any reason for the bleed, just "one of those things". So there is really no way of knowing until you see the scan as horrible as that is!

Thanks all for sharing! I know it’s basically a case of waiting it out, it’s impossible to tell what my body is up to until then! Just so hard!!

I had bleeding at 6 weeks with both my pregnancies. Just spotting, like start of period. After that nothing and both went to term, no further bleeding. Try not to overly worry, easy to say I know!

rainbowMIT · 31/01/2023 18:45

Fingers crossed for you.

Both my miscarriages were extremely painful & the bleeding never stopped. Hopefully this reassures you to. I'm currently 5 weeks pregnant and the anxiety is real 😩 definitely sucks!

rainydaysun · 31/01/2023 18:57

I have had bleeds in both pregnancies around this time. One DD is currently asleep upstairs, the other is 22 weeks tomorrow in my tummy! I think it can be normal as part of implantation bleeding - wishing you all the best x

Preggobelly · 31/01/2023 19:58

I hope all these experiences reassure you. Please come back and let us know how your scan goes. I have everything crossed for you x

Maybebby · 31/01/2023 20:29

Thanks so much everyone! I will update after the scan🤞🤞🤞

Baby is fine! Heartbeat seen and measuring on track at 8 weeks 3 days! They didn’t find a reason for bleeding but said they often don’t, no causes for concern either. I’m being prescribed progesterone to help the pregnancy continue healthily, so fingers crossed all goes well now! I’m so relieved😅Thanks all❤️❤️❤️

@Maybebby I'm so happy to read this! I'm 4 days behind you and had a scan yesterday due to a bleed but all good. Healthy mini bean in there 🤍

Maybebby · 03/02/2023 11:18

So lovely hearing other good outcomes!🤞let’s hope the beans continue growing and getting stronger❤️

I've been spotting like this since week 6 and still am! Teeny bits of pink but mostly faint brown.

I am 11 weeks and 4 now and just had a healthy scan! All is well.

Turns out to be a small haemotoma that will just go by itself. ❤️ hope that helps

Maybebby · 03/02/2023 13:22

That’s so reassuring! I love hearing how others have experienced the same and their pregnancies are progressing healthily🥰

Yes I was so worried at the beginning but after a few days passed and I saw that it kept happening I took comfort in that cos I was thinking surely if it was beginning of something it would have started by now. So I don't really take much notice of it any more ❤️

Maybebby · 03/02/2023 15:39

That’s what was making me think baby could be okay because it wasn’t getting worse and no cramps nothing!
