Am I imagining a line?

Done a test this morning as have been feeling sick, not sure if I see a second line, it came up straight away too.. I don't know how this could be possible when I came off my period 10 days ago x

@Amybelle88 me too! Have done a couple more that have come up similar but not as dark, I was thinking it could be evap but they came up when the test was wet! I've no idea how this is possible as I only came off my period 10 days ago, but I do think I ovulated earlier this time and I have had unprotected sex since I came off it. But I did not think it was possible to get a positive so early?

Was your period the same as usual? Lighter? Any chance it was a breakthrough bleed of pregnancy and you just assumed it was your period?

You could get a blood test or wait a couple of days and retest. I'd expect a positive to be stronger then.

So I had 2 tests that look like that and a couple of others that weren't as detectable. My period was very normal, I had a couple of leaks even in bed (sorry if TMI) but I am prone to heavy bleeding x

It's confusing because I can see a line but realistically the very earliest you'd see a positive is 8 days post ovulation, and that would depend on the egg implanting at 6 days post ovulation which isn't always the case. That would mean you ovulated on day one or two of your period which would be very unusual.

As another poster suggested perhaps your 'period' was implantation bleeding. But if it was, and it was 10 days ago, you'd expect the positive to be much stronger than what is shown on the test. Have you tried retesting with a different brand, perhaps a clear blue digital or FRER?

I can see a line but it does almost look like an evaporation line.

it is also possible that your last period was intact a chemical pregnancy and you’re seeing the back end of the hormone.

If your last period was implantation bleeding then it’s possible this is an early positive test.

Wait a few more days and test again

Just for perspective this was my positive pregnancy test with my last baby! Got a positive clear blue digital that day too!

I would retest with a first response test! But I deffo see a line. If it was within 10 mins deffo pregnant I'd say!

I have some FRERs being delivered, want to wait until the morning to do one but I feel like I won't be able to resist doing one tonight!

If it's a true positive on those tests it'll show up on a frer tonight, just try to hold your wee for a few hours! Mine were always darker at night than the morning after weirdly, something to do with how some people metabolise HCG apparently 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thought I'd update you all, my FRER was negative tonight, could this be due to concentration of urine? I held my wee for hours! Confused

Personally Id say if your first response is negative. You're not pregnant... I've always had positives on first response before the cheapy strip tests. I've always found first response to be darker in the evenings too for some reason and I know many women have said the same
Also due to the dates ect I would say it's evap you've seen on them😢

The only thing you can do to be absolutely sure is re test with first response in a couple of days. If you were hoping to be pregnant I wish you all the baby dust in the world xx

Sorry to hear about the negative last night! I could be positive in a couple of days but I must say I've always had positives of FRER's before anything else, and due to the timing of things it would be quite unusual for you to have fallen pregnant during your period (although it can happen!). I've seen a few threads of evaps on strip tests recently (but also frer's to be fair).

I hope it turns around for you though (if that's what you're hoping for!) ✨
