6 + 2 pregnant, brown discharge with dull lower back ache

Asking out of desperation and maybe some reassurance. This is my first pregnancy. I am 6 weeks 2 days today roughly. Today I started having brown discharge, does not go onto my panty liner. Only when I wipe. It's not huge quantities but still there. But it's accompanied with lover back and pelvic ache. Like pre period aches.

Now I know the aches are common in early pregnancy and I did have it but it used to calm off when I relaxed. It's persistent this time:/ I feel soo crushed and have cried all day, I'm a nurse and was meant to be on night shift tonight but I couldn't bring myself to go. I have an appointment tomorrow morning at my local early pregnancy unit for bloods and internal scan.

I think what I am looking for are people who have gone through the same thing and have beautiful babies at the end xxx

Sending hugs OP. I don't remember exact symptoms but I did get a very small amount of blood at exactly six weeks. (Which was not a miscarriage).

I had brown bleeding in my last two pregnancies (neither ended in miscarriage) . I was told brown is old blood and therefore nothing to worried about if it’s bright red it’s a problem.

Same as the other posters, I had some light brown discharge at 6 + 4 for about 5 days. Got referred to EPAU and had a couple of scans two weeks apart, all was fine. I’m now 9 + 2 and my most recent scan at 8 + 5 showed everything to be normal. Keep your chin up and try not to worry too much xx

I had this at about 6 weeks and it was absolutely fine. Hopefully you’ll get the reassurance you need at EPU!
