‘Potty shot’ girl or boy?

Hi wondering if anyone could advise - sonographer said this was a girl (16.5 weeks scan) but do people agree it definitely does look like a girl? I thought it looked almost boyish to me but obviously I don’t know what I’m talking about!

The 3 lines like a hamburger is definitely a girl. Congrats!

Ahh thanks! I probably shouldn’t question the experts but I just couldn’t see it 😂

As others have said - three lines = girl. No doubt.

Just to be different, that looks quite far forward. Not saying its not a girl but that particular bit with the lines looks like it could be the cord?

I can’t even figure out what bit is meant to be the genital @IVFbeenverylucky , is it the bit far back that’s white coloured? The burger type looking thing is so far forward I thought it was something else entirely!

To be fair the sonographer did sound very certain about it being a girl. I just really wanted a girl so I think I don’t want to let myself believe it yet!

I've had four girls and seen all of them from a similar angle to this pic. I think the genitals would be under the 'girl' label. I think the stripped thing is the cord. Not a trained ultrasonographer though.

Actually, looking closer, it could be that the genitals are on the left of the label. I believe what is on the right is the cord.

Oh okay… I think that makes sense. I guess I should just stop trying to analyse and understand it and trust the trained expert!!

The three white lines are the early formation of the clitoris.

It's not the cord OP. Sometimes people on Mumsnet don't know what they're talking about. Please just trust your sonographer and not strangers.

So you're saying this baby has two sets of genitals? Wow, poor baby. The cord has three vessels, so can look like three lines. Genitals on the left. Or that's what my four girls looked like anyway. My boys looked very different, so sure it's not a boy whatever the details are.

Im a sonographer. The bit to the right is cord. The bit to the left is genitals. Its not a great picture but it looks girly though hard to know for sure from a still image.
