am i in labour

am due tomorrow and had a sweep today. mw said that i am over 2cm. had the sweep at 2.20 and went for a long walk at about 4.30. am now getting pains but they are not regular and are around the top of my bump. have been bleeding since the sweep and have lost a few small clots. the pains that i am getting are not really bad or the period type pains that every one says they are like.

what sort of pains are you getting? do they die off when you move? are you bleeding constantly?

pains are more like a tingly tigtening sensation. they stay for about 90 seconds. they are really hard to time as they come on gradually. have just sat them out so i dont know if they die of when i move.
last time i checked the bleeding had lessened but it has been constant since sweep

i'd just give labour ward a call and let them know .. just in case ! bleeding can happen after a sweep, but constant red bleeding should be run by a MW.

try a bath and a paracetomal to ease things if you are uncomfortable

it might be the start, but don;t wait up all night for it, your body will let you know when you need to pay attention !

thanks lulu, will have another knicker check. am only stressing cos my oh is in a meeting about 2 hours away, he will not be home till 8.30. am at mil house so not on my own but i cant settle and just ride it all out till he gets home
