Purple legs?

I'm almost 28 weeks pregnant. Over the past week or so I've noticed my legs/ feet and ankles are getting swollen especially towards the end of the day. Seems pretty normal and I'm not concerned though it has started earlier this time around than previous pregnancies. The weird thing is my legs are turning almost pale grey/purple in splotches- my knees, outer thighs, lower calves. Is this something I should mention to midwives or GP or is it something that happens and I've just been lucky to escape it so far? It's not painful, I feel well but obviously by the end of a long day at work on my feet/ chasing other kids I'm pretty achy!

You should definitely mention it.

In fact I think you should call the 24hr line and ask them if it's something they need to look at sooner.

Probably nothing but it is definitely worth checking that kind of thing.

I had this on my feet in my first pregnancy. Never did anything about it, though probably should hVe mentioned it to my midwife.

I'm pregnant again (27 weeks) not had it yet but would be Interested to know if you do speak to your midwife if it's anything yo be concerned about.
