Sweep 38 weeks success?

Hi had a sweep today due to medical reasons, I’m 38+2 I have since had dark red/brown discharge and cramp in my stomach and back and feel generally run down and so sick. And keep getting hot flushes. Anyone have any success stories???? X

Could be an infection, I would call the midwives, especially if you're feeling hot like that.

Could also just be that your cervix is irritated.

A sweep will only work if your body is ready which is unlikely at 38 weeks, but not impossible of course.
