MMC? Fetal pole 6mm and hcg 16000

Hello. I suspect I’m having another MMC but going through the nightmare with EPU wait at present.
I went for an early scan last week where she said the gestational sac looked empty. I think I would have been c8 weeks.
today at EPU she said the gestational sac was a slightly odd shape but not to be concerned. They couldn’t see the yolk sac but Fetal pole was 6mm although no heartbeat was seen. They’ve just phoned and advised my hcg is over 16000 so I have to wait a week to be scanned before I can get treatment. I know it’s over but they seem to be holding onto a glimmer of hope 🥲

I don't really know if there is hope or not for this pregnancy, but didn't want to read and run.
I know it's very hard, after several miscarriages myself. One as we speak... so I'm always prepared for a bad outcome.
Unfortunately, there are many ladies who are struggling with pregnancies. But the great thing is that many of them manage to have their rainbow baby in the end. Try to stay positive. 🤗🤗

Sorry to hear that @Ding1 . It’s horrible to experience. I had a medical miscarriage in sept also. I know in my heart it’s over and just want to start treatment but due to the size of Fetal pole, they wouldn’t start treatment without a second scan. Very hard journey! Hope you’re ok x

Yes, waiting is so bad... When you know sth for sure at least you can deal with it and look forward. Take care!
