I'm currently 34 weeks and having an elective caesarean with Baby no.2 at 39 weeks which will be end of feb/early march.

I had my appointment with the specialist last Monday (16th Jan) where we went through everything and he said I'd get a letter through with a date. I assumed he meant pretty soon and yesterday I received letters for my next hospital appointment with them for swabs etc but no actual date for the procedure. Ive since read that people didn't find out until much nearer the time? Just wondering for making arrangements!

3 days before

I think it varies massively with each hospital. I'm 37+2 and I had my appointment with the consultant yesterday and she said I should receive my date by Friday. I hope you get yours soon!

I got my date when I was about 30 weeks pregnant. It obviously varies massively from hospital to hospital from your replies so far!

I can't remember exactly but I think it was at an appointment around 36-37 weeks, although I was warned it could be changed but they were keen for various reasons for it to be a particular consultant and they wouldn't let me go over 40 weeks so we only had a choice of 2 days. Date was 39+3.

I'm currently 37+6 and still waiting on my date 😩

TakeYourFinalPosition · 25/01/2023 14:26

Between 3 and 5 days before here.

Oh wow I didn't realise it varied quite so much! Thanks for all the replies tho, I won't hang around waiting for my postman each morning haha 😅 hopefully it won't be too close just to make arrangements for my son etc but it is what it is!
