Hi, my little one has been squirming around so much more than usual the last 24 hours. I also have been getting a very hard tummy. I rang my Labour ward and they have said not to worry. anyone experienced this and is it a sign of very close labour? I am 38 weeks and baby has been engaged for the last two weeks

My three were the opposite and seem to move less. My older two I went in for reduced movements and was back in the evening in labour. I never really thought about it before your post. Maybe one or the other is a thing

over movement is a change in pattern, they should have asked you to go in. I’d pop in and get it checked 😊

I have and my midwife and they said movement is healthy and not to worry. Only worry if it slows x

I’d be really concerned about that advice. They used to say only be concerned if it slows but the recent advice is any change in movement, increase or decrease should be looked at. I’d ring back and speak to someone else. Babies movements should remain around the same pattern right up to the end.

Your tummy getting hard sounds like braxton hicks, practice contractions.

I have spoken to my midwife too who said the same, I’m in, in the morning for a scan so I will tell them and get advice x
