Advice needed… mucus plug or not? Overthinking pressure / pains?

I was induced with my first so never experienced the ‘normal’ early signs of labour. I’m still working as a year 2 teacher and struggling A LOT at work. I am so uncomfortable, I’m waddling around like a penguin and in general pain / pressure down below. I went to the bathroom today and noticed a thick clearish yellow jelly like ‘substance’ in my underwear. Could this be the mucus plug and if so does it mean anything? Or could this just be discharge? Any advice would be very much appreciated!

Yes that sounds like a bit of plug, it can come out at any point during pregnancy but does renew itself if not at delivery time. What gestation are you? 🙂

Sorry should have made that clear! I am 36 weeks today. I was induced early with my first baby so cannot relate to any signs or symptoms or anything to be aware of!

My mucus plug came out a week ago, and then continued to have slight bloody tinge to it. I’m 36+2 may not mean labour straight away as it hasn’t for me

Could well be! With my first I lost mine around 38 weeks and my LO arrived at 39+2
