Success. Finally saw a midwife.

After months of calls, emails and speaking in person I finally got to see a midwife for the first time in my 16 week pregnancy.

I saw the midwife yesterday and had all my check ups. Even got to hear little ones heart beat.

Glad all's well! My midwife seems to be MIA. Stuck the booking forms through my door at 12 weeks to trigger the scan (after weeks of phoning and nagging), saw a student midwife at my scan though which at least is something!

I hope you don’t have to wait long to see a midwife.

When the midwife spoke to me yesterday she said that my referral from the doctors had gone through but for some reason hadn’t transferred to the midwife’s inbox of new patients.

My husband ended up calling the hospital at 23:45 on Saturday night (he’d just got home from work) and gave them my details. They called Sunday morning asking if I can see them that day.
