So, its 5.15am and I'm lying here wide awake thinking about how our baby girls due date has finally arrived! And I have the urge to get up and do bits in her room 🤣

I know for a fact she is too comfortable to come yet so I still have some wait left. Any one else here due this month who wants to join me on the waiting game for our babies? 🩷😀👶 let's keep each other distracted and updated 🩷

I'm due tomorrow! Having a surprise but pretty sure it's a little man.

Have you had any signs so far?

My little one seems pretty comfy too; I reckon the cold weather has put him off!

I’m due today too! Have you had any signs? I’ve had two early sweeps and think I’ve been losing bits of my plug over the last couple of weeks but don’t think she’ll be making an appearance yet. I’m due to have be induced by the end of the week if she’s not arrived by then so feeling a bit nervous as I’d rather it happen naturally.

Have you been trying anything to get labour going or just being patient and waiting it out?

The only thing I've noticed is really bad lower back pain since Friday but apart from that nothing! It's probably just cos shes low down! Last night she was soooo active and moving so much! It's like she was having a party in there. However, my midwife got in touch early yesterday evening and asked if I want to have a sweep at mid day today. I said yes! What have I got to lose? Might aswell 🤞🩷 I know they don't always work but worth a shot! How are you both feeling today?

I'm a bit behind you all, due a week on Wednesday! Just started maternity leave, finished a few odd jobs and trying to stay active but also relax beforehand! Best of luck with the sweep, I have one booked a week on Friday at 40+2 as my hospital are very obsessed with going overdue and inductions which I've declined a hospital induction on that date already but likely to accept a sweep

Ooh, Mumtobe, let us know how the sweep goes! Fingers crossed for you that your body is ready.

I've had period like pains, pressure and tightenings with pain down the front of my thighs. Lost my mucus plug over the last couple of weeks too.

I've opted against induction as long as baby continues to appear healthy and happy with movements etc.

Is anybody else first time mum? Bunny and Hoping, do you know if you're having boys or girls?

@HopeGraceFaith This is our first and it's a girl :) Hopefully things are moving in the right direction for you, I have period type cramping pains most mornings and think the plug is coming away for the past week. Most people I know including family went quite overdue so I haven't been expecting her appearance soon

Ooh OP good luck for your sweep. Hopefully it gets things moving. I’ve got my last sweep tomorrow before I’m induced. Fingers crossed it’s third sweep lucky for me!

@HopeGraceFaith this will be my second and it’s a girl. Being induced is my choice this time due to anxiety because of so many losses and such a hard time between DS and this pregnancy but I’m really nervous about it to be fair and still hoping to go naturally before then. Planning a big walk after my sweep tomorrow

Due tomorrow! 4th baby and never made it this far before so this is brand new territory for me! My others were 7,6 and 5 days early. I’ve sort of peaked at the ‘ he’s surely coming’point and now accepted he probably won’t be here for another week!

I never had any lead up signs with the others- all just started with an obvious contraction and loss of whole plug- no waters breaking. This time I’ve had a raft of symptoms for the last 10 days but no Labour! Sweep booked for Thursday. I’ll take an induction as I have diet controlled GD and tend to have big babies so I don’t want to go too far over x

Well guys here I am 8 days on and still no baby! Please tell me I'm not the only one?? 🙏🙏🤣

Hope everyone is doing as well as they can!

My waters broke Saturday night at 39+4 and since I am positive for Group B strep I had to stay on the labour ward despite no contractions. I put off an induction (drip) as long as I could whilst trying to get things started naturally but sadly they didn't so ended up on the drip and continuous monitoring which I did find really tough. However after a very short pushing stage my baby girl was born early hours of Monday morning! We got home this evening and recovering well :)

4 days overdue here 🙋🏻‍♀️ and getting fed up of seeing people moaning about not having baby yet yet they are a few weeks off due date 😂 I was quite happy and relaxed waiting for due date, but now it’s been and gone I just want baby here. Thought things might be starting last night but no.

Did you have a sweep? I had one booked for Saturday but my cervix was closed. Have another booked for today.

Op have they given you a date to be induced? In my area they book you in after 41 weeks although I appreciate it everyone wants that and would prefer for things to happen naturally. I was induced on Thursday night but had a bloody show just before so might have been on the way to labour anyway.
Baby girl born Friday morning and home that afternoon. To everyone still waiting I hope it happens very soon for you and either way it really won’t be long now before you have your baby in your arms even though I know it feels like an eternity!

@OrcaBlondie yes I have had 2 sweeps and they did nothing 🙈 all though apparently I was one nearly 2cm after the second one and that was on Thurs last week and still nothing happening! Lol! All though I am having cramps on and off! Very irregularly!

@Hopingforbetterluck yes they are going to induce me this coming Saturday if nothing happens before then! So not ideal but at that point I'll be so ready to have her here and wanting her safe that I'll go through anything 🤞♥️ congratulations by the way ♥️🥰
