I think I already know the answer. I donโ€™t think this is going to end well.

Top test is 16dpo. Bottom test is todays, I am now 20dpo. It seems like the control line has gotten darker again, rather than continuing to get lighter. Any advice? Or experiences?

Are your childrenโ€™s vaccines up to date?

I donโ€™t understand why you are concerned about the control line?

The test lines on both are incredibly strong, thatโ€™s what matters.

BabyB2022 · 22/01/2023 13:31

The tests are very strong, probably best to stop testing. Good luck.

GoT1904 · 22/01/2023 13:37

They look fine to me honestly.

allgoodthings84 · 22/01/2023 14:02

Stop testing. Youโ€™ve got a dye stealer and it doesnโ€™t matter how much dye is left in the control line that will vary. Youโ€™re pregnant and itโ€™s strong. If you were having a chemical it would get fainter a lot quicker than that.

Clueless492 · 22/01/2023 14:04

Thank you so much for all your input. I really thought that the control line had to keep getting lighter for a successful outcome. Maybe I will stop testing now. Itโ€™s so hard though.

Yes I think you need to stop testing and driving yourself berserk. It all looks good!

allgoodthings84 · 22/01/2023 14:10

@Clueless492 I know itโ€™s hard, I tested until I was 22dpo as had 2 chemicals before but I know it wasnโ€™t really helping. I stopped the frers after taking the 2 in the pack though at 14dpo and 18dpo. I then did a digital at 22dpo but then I stopped. I would go crazy if not

GoT1904 · 22/01/2023 16:06

Awwww, it is hard. There isn't the exact same amount of dye in the tests though, plus how diluted your urine etc it. Lots of variables. But I wouldn't worry with those lines. โค

Pollywoddles · 22/01/2023 16:13

Ah stop! Pregnancy tests are not designed for this. You have very strong positives. Step away from the tests.

Rtmhwales · 22/01/2023 16:29

Unless the line is disappearing, it doesn't really make a difference. My FRER was rather light this go around and I'm 8 weeks with twins at the moment.

Imisscoffee2021 · 22/01/2023 19:58

@Clueless492 google the hook effect, same thing happened to me and I had a sad day thinking it was all going away til I read about the hook effect and diluted my urine, low and behold a dye stealer with a barely visible control line again! Time to stop using HPTs though as your hcg is too high for them and line progression isn't possible anymore.

Emmamoo89 · 22/01/2023 20:00

Stop testing x

PurBal · 22/01/2023 20:01

Pregnancy tests give yes or no answers. Youโ€™re pregnant, congratulations.

Clueless492 · 23/01/2023 06:52

Thanks again to everyone who took the time to comment. I had my HGC tested yesterday and it came back at 2185. So a 39 hour doubling time. So you were all right and I should definitely stop testing now because itโ€™s not worth the stress. Xx
