IVF/post implantation bleeding/testing

Need a little advice. My best friend has just gone through IVF (donor sperm)
Implanted 2 eggs Wednesday last week (10 days ago)
She had a bleed yesterday, not quite a ‘period’ and is completely convinced this means it hasn’t worked. She did a test this morning which was negative, but is not actually due to do a test till tomorrow.
Does anyone know if she could get a positive test tomorrow despite having the negative one today….?
No known fertility issues, just wants a baby before it’s too late (she’s 43)
Im thinking it may have been a post implantation bleed and possibly not enough HCG to do a positive test this morning but may be enough to do one tomorrow.
Think I might be clutching at straws, but she is just devastated and I’m trying to be positive, but maybe I’m making things worse…..
anyone have any advice/similar story…..?
thank you

I started bleeding on testing day, but did test anyway, which was negative. My bleeding continued and I did then test positive a few days later.
After 3 weeks of continuous bleeding I retested as advised by the clinic and it was still a strong positive so it is possible for her to get a positive, I even got scanned and saw pregnancy sac, BUT I did then MC so I’d say it’s not great to bleed ‘not quite a period’ (progesterone makes it a bit lighter but it fully kicks in when you stop the progesterone) and she is right to be cautious and not to get too optimistic tbh.
Having someone else be super positive about your chances, when you are trying to be realistic, is a bit torturous really.
All you can do there is be there for her, and maybe she will get lucky, but don’t give her false hope.
Fingers crossed for her though.

Thank you for this advice and I’m so sorry that you went through your loss. I’ll take on board what you’ve said and just try and be there. Thank you x
