Faint Positive on Boots Early & Negative Clear Blue

Hi hoping someone can help I got a faint positive on boots early test last night I took a clear blue early this morning and no line. I am 5 days late for AF. Has anyone ever had this experience and gone on to have bfp? Told partner last night and we both got excited. Thank you in advance!

Looks like the clear blue isn't picking up yet but the early test may have detected something!

Thanks so much for the reply @HunkieDorie! I took the clear blue to give me peace of mind and now that’s the total opposite of what I have. Scared to test again now.

When you say 5 days late how many dpo are you? The line looks very faint on an early detection test for 5 days late.

@allgoodthings84 thanks for the reply! I did also think that, I was hoping for a bfp not a fp haha. My cycles are quiet irregular but I would have usually come on by day 29 and this would be cycle day 34. I haven’t been using opk as we have only just agreed to start trying so can’t be too sure on dpo.

I also forgot to add that I had brown spotting cm for 4 days cycle day 28 - 32 that I thought was the start of AF but then stopped so that I why I decided to take hpt.

Ah it could just be you ovulated late this cycle so you’re not really late and that’s why it’s faint then. All women have the odd cycle where they ovulate early or late and it brings AF earlier or later too. I would wait a couple days and try another boots early and see if the line has gotten darker 😊 there’s definitely a line there
