Holidays before maternity leave

Sorry if this isn't in the right place just wondered if anyone knew where I stood with using holidays before I go on maternity leave?
I am due to finish up on maternity at the start of April but I have 45 hours holiday which is my entitlement for the year which I don't think I am allowed to carry over. should my employer allow me to use all of these before maternity leave starts? I have emailed my employer but they are terrible at getting back to you with stuff like this.
Thanks!

You'd need to check with your employer, I did this and took a week and a half directly before maternity leave but I'm NHS.
When are you planning on taking your leave? Your work might need to sort cover if you've not given much notice

You can use holidays before maternity leave but as soon as baby is born you have to go straight into maternity leave x

The employer should let you carry it over really x

They should be able to pay it to you as you are entitled to it, if you don’t return to work within that financial year then you can request your holiday to be paid in a lump sum. I did it with both of mine
