Can’t sleep at night 34 weeks

Writing this after a couple of solid weeks of almost no sleep at night. I’ve got quite bad pelvic girdle pain and painkillers aren’t touching the sides, I’ve been referred by my midwife for physio but with 6 weeks to go, I’m doubtful that I’ll get to see a physio before baby makes her appearance!

I just can’t seem to find a comfortable sleeping position at all. I lie on my side, and I’ve got a pillow between my knees and supporting my bump, as well as one behind my back. No matter what I do I just seem to ache all over, even in spots that aren’t achy during the day (shoulders, back, legs).

The frustrating thing is, during the day I can fall asleep at the drop of a hat if I have the chance. I’m still at work so haven’t been able to nap during the week but at weekends, I can have two or three hourly naps at a time, whether I’m in bed, on the sofa, sat up in a chair! It’s also happened a couple of times in evenings after work where I’ve sat down on the sofa and nodded off in the space of a few minutes, or sat down on my bed after a shower and woken up 45 minutes later.

Does anyone have any sleeping tips or any ideas why I might be able to sleep during the day but not at night?

Probably pregnancy insomnia. Suffering the same hence awake now. Had physio appt today for pgp but other than telling me what not to do and giving me a ball and support belt there's not much they can do just have to suffer until baby is here

Me too I’ve been awake since 4. I generally drop off around 11-11.30 then wake at 4 completely unable to go back to sleep. Ive got what I think is mild but uncomfortable PGP plus burning pain in my hips. Also on the toilet constantly with that pressurey feeling. Its horrible and sorry I have nothing to suggest! Just sympathy!
