Please try not to worry. I had hot baths with both of mine and everything was fine 😊

Faith230 · 19/01/2023 12:13

Really ? I feel so stupid 😪 I don't want anything bad to happen with this pregnancy, obviously no more baths for me, I feel broken 😢

Don't worry. I had hot baths and my son is fine 😊

I had absolutely roasting hot baths with my pregnancies as I couldn't get warm and they were the only thing that helped. Both pregnancies were fine and my children are happy and healthy.

Is it not more that you avoid hot tubs and Jacuzzis? How hot are we talking? If its at a temperature you can tolerate without feeling light headed afterwards then it should be fine

Faith230 · 19/01/2023 12:20

Really? Thank you for that, I love my hot baths and just feel really stupid as I'm in my first trimester and just only realised 🙃 🥺😪 I don't want another miscarriage 😭

I had hot baths in all of my pregnancy's. All fine. Try not to worry too much

Razputini · 19/01/2023 12:28

I had scorching baths with both my pregnancies, it's just how I like to have them. Both my daughters came out absolutely fine

Faith230 · 19/01/2023 12:30

This is the thing, I love hot baths but with all the what ifs, its driving me mad, and I've had a few hot baths and now I'm panicking because I just only realised:(

Please don't worry, I was told by a hospital consultant that the guidance around baths is down to the risk of being lightheaded when you get out and the potential to fall, not the bath itself. If you can get in the bath without it being painful then it isn't hot enough to raise your internal temperature high enough to be a risk.

Faith230 · 19/01/2023 12:37

Thank you , I just don't want to effect baby in anyway :(

It will be absolutely fine. It would have to be literally scalding before it would be a miscarriage risk, don't worry.

You can always keep them cooler in future if you are worried, but no harm done.

And please do not think your miscarriage was your fault. It is very common and has happened to lots of us. You're not alone Flowers
