Cyclogest reassurance...

trigger warning pregnancy loss

Hi all!! I have previously had a ruptured ectopic, a healthy pregnancy, a still birth at 37weeks and a miscarriage at 10weeks... so have really been through the mill. Currently pregnant for the 5th time and was scanned at what I thought was 7+3 but measured 6+4. As I had been having spotting and given my history I was prescribed cyclogest. I am just so paranoid about miscarriage and that cyclogest will hide a miscarriage as it was never really explained to me what it does. I have seen a heartbeat and so feel reassured to an extent but I am analysing every little twinge and today had very teeny tiny pink spotting upon wiping. I am just really looking for people's experiences using cyclogest and if spotting was common and just positive stories in general. Sorry for the ramble :-/

Sorry for all you've been through op Flowers I had bleeding at 20 weeks and 31 weeks when pregnant with dd2, was prescribed cyclogest. Didn't notice any additional spotting as was already, but it's worth giving your midwife a call if you're worried

I'm assuming you're taking the cyclogest as vaginal pessaries? If so it's really common to get some spotting as inserting it can irritate your cervix. You can switch to inserting anally if you prefer (I hated that though).
Also if you're on Facebook, would really recommend joining the worst girl gang ever pregnancy after loss group. They're a really supportive bunch and so helpful!

I had spotting from week 4-6 and week 8 and week 11. Was prescribed cyclogest from week 4. Now I'm 13 weeks and everything is going really well. The spotting was caused by bacterial vaginosis! I will have the cyclogest until 16 weeks as per the NICE guidelines x
