I have done 3 pregnancy test and they come up dark straight away even before I was late - Do anyone think this could be twins? Smile

So did mine every time, before period. Single babies.

Bellabon · 18/01/2023 15:26

Why would you think that... it's just a positive pregnancy test. Mine looked the same, with one child.
It could be twins, it could not but you definitely cannot tell that from a pregnancy test

determinedtomakethiswork · 18/01/2023 15:33

I think if you take two tests and they are both positive, that means you're having twins doesn't it?

😄

FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee · 18/01/2023 15:35

Oh, bless you.

georgarina · 18/01/2023 15:39

Could be, but equally could just be random. Some of my pregnancies didn't show up on a test until after AF was due. One showed positive 8dpo! (Positive of dates as only dtd once.)

All single babies.

LittleRedYoshi · 18/01/2023 15:41

Pregnancy tests aren't precise enough to draw that kind of conclusion from. My first pregnancy was a singleton; my second began as triplets, but the pregnancy tests were exactly the same - both in terms of when I got the BFP and the strength of the lines.

Orangepalms · 18/01/2023 15:45

To be fair, with my twins I did get a very strong positive a couple of days before my period was due. But I obviously had no idea it was twins at the time. That could just be a coincidence though, with my singleton I didn’t test until my due date, although did also get a very strong positive.

MaverickGooseGoose · 18/01/2023 15:45

My twins were squinted, could hardly see the line at all.

LittleRedYoshi · 18/01/2023 15:46

And just to pre-empt the next question: no, you can't tell if it's a multiples pregnancy based on strength of symptoms either. The only potentially reliable indicator (other than a scan) is how early you start showing.

Namechanger355 · 18/01/2023 15:47

Who knows

it’s just shows you are pregnant

Yes I had much worse symptoms with my singleton pregnancy than twin!

crazyBadger · 18/01/2023 15:52

My twin pregnancy tested negative until about 11 weeks :) expected the scan to say sorry no baby .. but there were two floating about on the screen.

strawberryporridge · 18/01/2023 15:53

Mine came up positive fairly quickly, but I did think that an early, strong positive on a test could sometimes be an indicator of twins as hCG levels can be higher? Feel a bit stupid now 😳

Congratulations anyway!

SpaceJamtart · 18/01/2023 15:57

I had really weak lines with my twins and I tested late.

BiologicalWoman · 18/01/2023 17:19

Yes and if the lines are blue that means they are boys.

amylou8 · 18/01/2023 18:13

No you've had 3 positive tests, definitely triplets 😁
Congratulations!

RainbowsLemonDrop · 18/01/2023 18:48

I had a strong positive at 8DPO (knew exactly when we conceived due to fertility treatment) but there was just one :)

El13 · 19/01/2023 12:42

HCG levels with twins can be 50 % higher than just one baby.
Especially if it’s before your period is due - but everyone is different.

it might just be you ovulated early.
congratulations ❤️Xxx

consideringachange · 19/01/2023 12:52

Some people just produce a lot of HCG. My levels have been sky high every time, so much so that one doc was sure it was twins and I've had early scans every time, but three singletons!

Iamnothe1 · 19/01/2023 13:54

The only way you would know is a scan, doesn't matter how strong ur positive is
