High risk pregnancy due to:

  • BMI
  • Polyhydramnios
  • Large baby

Also experiencing:

  • Irritable uterus (contractions around 3/4 nights a week, some daytimes. They can come 2-3 mins apart for hours and hours, but cervix remains closed)
  • fluctuations in BP. Some concerning readings, some fine. Told to monitor daily at home.
  • SPD. Some days I can walk fine, some days barely at all.
  • Carpal tunnel in both wrists with moderate pain affecting my ability to dress, to push myself to standing, to open things, wipe myself etc.
  • worsening sickness meaning I'm probably eating around a meal a day that stays fully down.

It's been really hard to cope as it is, mentally. However today I have a stiff neck and I'm so over being in pain everywhere. My DD is off school and this evening is presenting symptoms that sound like Strep-A, so I'm going to call the doctors tomorrow AM. Just now I've begun to have pain whilst swallowing. I feel like I can't get a break! 😭😭 I'm likely being induced at 38w, so not too long to go, but I am already medicated for depression and under the care of the perinatal mental health team. I'm so worried that due to the pain that I'm in every day, my low mood and anxiety are becoming more apparent and I really dont want to be mentally unwell after birth again. 😔 Any tips? Regarding either the pain, or coping?
