Well this is scary! You’d think after 2 children already I’d know the signs! But nope! Only just found out in preg and going from last time me and hubby done the deed I’d be 30 weeks! Got to get onto midwife’s tomorrow morning and get a scan booked asap! Somehow find a way of telling the hubby and other kids and the rest of the family! I didn’t plan any more kids but obviously this 1 had other ideas! Oh and I was on the 12 week depo jab!

@CallTheMobWife think she knows it all 🤣🤣. My bump and any movement that came with it appeared suddenly and overnight. The reason being that my placenta had been lying at the front. It moved and the baby moved with it. All pretty average

Well then you’re probably catty too! Takes one to know one.

I'm creased!

Not heard anyone say 'takes one to know one' since primary school 😂😂

Hardly. If someone doesn't know they are pregnant chances are they've had a drink

What is it then, because it certainly didn't come across as caring or concerned, it was full of spite and judgement.

Not really. It someone doesn't know they're pregnant there's a chance they've had a drink. I don't think they meant it in a judgey way

FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee · 18/01/2023 16:33

I'm incredibly jealous.

Good luck, OP. Can't wait for an update.

Well I am not the only one that thinks it was said in an unkind way and came across judgemantally, probably because that's how it was meant.

I mean what is the point in saying when someone was unaware that they were pregnant until 30 weeks, that you presume that they don't drink, it's too late.

By all means you can wish them well and hope that their lifestyle choice during the unknown pregnancy is not going to cause any issues with the baby.

But the blunt one liner, was unkind and unhelpful and so full of judgement.

Vicki3007 · 18/01/2023 17:37

Just pointing out I very very rarely drink alcohol, maybe twice a year coz I just don’t enjoy it! Can’t stand the hang over afterwards so I’d just rather drink tea and be chilled!

Which is opportune, but you shouldn't be judged if you did. You didn't know you were pregnant.

PanicAtTheBigTesco · 18/01/2023 18:15

Yeah it's obviously great you naturally haven't been drinking but if you had you weren't to know so it's absolutely not something you should be judged on.

Emmamoo89 · 18/01/2023 18:50

I wasn't judging I just didn't think that comment was judgey. Things get took the wrong way. You can't tell the emotion of the comment.

Nothing got "took" the wrong way it was taken as it was meant, judgementally.

Well then some people get offended so easily

dogdaydown · 18/01/2023 19:27

@Emmamoo89 well then some people see through thinly veiled nastiness....

She meant jab x

@SchoolTripDrama we just call it the jag where i am from lol

ButterfliesandMoths · 18/01/2023 21:46

I know you're in shock but what a lovely surprise. Congratulations.

shhsleepin · 18/01/2023 22:03

I found out about my surprise in January. I rarely drink aside from over Christmas and New Year and holidays (of which there had been a few). When I told my midwife she told me not to worry at all. It's good you haven't drank but most people, including professionals, wouldn't judge if you had.

GoldilockMom · 18/01/2023 22:25

How did your mum take the good news?

MadeForThis · 18/01/2023 22:37

Good luck x

Dontjudgeme101 · 18/01/2023 23:09

Good luck op 💐💐

Iamnothe1 · 19/01/2023 06:09
