Sub Chorionic Hematoma or Miscarraige

Hoping you can throw some of your experiences at me in relation to this!
I was told at 6 weeks I had a sub chorionic hematoma after having some brown discharge and cramping. I had another internal scan at 8 weeks which showed a strong heartbeat. 4 days ago (around 9 weeks) I started bleeding, not a massive amount but it was more red, when previously it was brown, and I passed a largish clot- the bleeding then stopped. Fast forward to now, 3 days later, I have started bleeding again, red and dark brown this time, again not a massive amount but I also have some mild cramping. I had a miscarraige a few months ago and lm terrified that this is the start of another Sad I'm booked in for another scan in two days and the midwife said it's quite possible that it is just the subchorionic hematoma passing but im feeling convinced that I'm having a miscarraige. Has anyone had any similar experiences please (good or bad)?
Thanks

Yes, experiences of this, and of subsequently having both good and bad outcomes (in different pregnancies). In the good outcome there was concern, because it was quite a large haematoma, but all turned out fine. I was less lucky on an earlier occasion. Fingers crossed for you OP, glad you are having another scan soon. Try and relax as much as you can - easy to say, harder to do....

Thank you, it's so worrying and difficult isn't it. Can I ask did you have any bleeding/cramps with either?

I experienced brown bleeding which turned into red bleeding and eventually resulted in passing a large clot which I assumed at the time was my pregnancy. I ended up going to A&E and they were unable to scan me. I waited until I could be seen by the EPU and was extremely shocked to be told that everything was fine with the pregnancy, despite my very large bleed. I continued to bleed brown and red with clots until around 12 weeks and then the bleeding resolved. I honestly assumed the worst but have since heard many stories of women experiencing bleeding during pregnancy and having positive outcomes x

Yes, bleeding (lightish) and mild cramps in the one with the good outcome.

This happened to me with my first baby and there was quite a lot of bleeding but all turned out fine xx

Thank you all for giving me some hope.

The cramping is getting worse, which is the most concerning bit for me.

I had this at 8 weeks (on a Friday night) Walking along the road and felt the familiar gush of 'heavy period', felt between my legs and my whole hand was covered. Phoned anti natal in tears and was told probably miscarrying to go home and wait and see. If it got worse go to A&E. I too had cramps, bleeding and large clots. I was due to be booked in with the midwife on the Monday. Spent all weekend feeling awful and upset. I didn't even leave my bed in case rest might make a difference (!?!?) Did try to rest but every time I got up, obviously gravity took hold. It made me so upset. I did go to the midwife on the Monday convinced I was miscarrying and they said they couldn't get me to EPU until the Friday! Advised us to go private. I couldn't wait a whole week of not knowing, especially as we had previously lost 2 whilst trying for this one.
We paid for a private scan and all was well. It was a subchoronic haematoma. I had never heard of it before despite this being my 4th! Anyway, it resolved itself after about 2-3 weeks of continuous bleeding and my little subchoronic is currently lying on my chest, now 4 months old.
My sister is now 30 weeks and she too had this but bled almost continuously from 6-22 weeks!
I wish you all the luck! Xx
