I’ve had some sore boobs and frequent toilet trips but that’s about it I’m naturally really worried as I miscarried twice before once at 8 weeks 4 days and then at 6 weeks 4 days I’ve been trying to conceive for around 3 years now, naturally I’m really worried about miscarrying again.
im booked in for a early scan the 19th but just can’t shake this feeling of anxiety

Hi @Bee111xxxx it is such an anxious time but lack of pregnancy symptoms doesn't mean anything; I had zero symptoms with my first successful pregnancy (after many rounds of IVF and miscarriages) and often thought I was imagining things; it was only the scans that proved to me I was pregnant! DD is now 3 and perfect. Although you did say you have sore boobs and frequent loo trips - those are symptoms so you do have them! Also, sickness etc. often doesn't kick in until week 7-8 so it may be ahead of you - be careful what you wish for Grin

Hi thank you I just think my anxiety is through the roof at the minute so I just feel like symptoms would maybe reassure me if that makes sense? I just find it all so confusing , thank you for your positivity I do have a early reassurance scan booked in for Thursday so just having to hold out until then 😇x

I totally know what you mean - symptoms are reassuring because you "feel" pregnant. I had the exact same thought processes! I think previous sad experiences make it hard to believe that your dream could come true.

I don't think I ever felt less anxious, if I'm honest, save for a day or two after each scan when I'd just had my "proof" that everything was okay. I think I just accepted that I'd always be worried and just went with it!

I hope that good news on Thursday makes you feel a bit better Flowers

xogossipgirlxo · 17/01/2023 16:37

Ohh fingers crossed for your scan. Symptoms might kick in later on. Mine started around week 8.

Bee111xxxx · 17/01/2023 18:31

Thank you both I really appreciate it! I’m hoping and praying for a good scan! So thank you both!

I didn't have any symptoms at that time but they will kick in later, don't worry :) Hope all goes well at the scan!

Bee111xxxx · 17/01/2023 19:59

@tfh thank you so much I really appreciate it! I’m just holding out hope that all is okay and just too early for anything I think I’m just extremely paranoid to be honest xxx

Hi! I know it's a while since this thread started but I'm currently scrolling Mumsnet with a similar experience (6 weeks no symptoms). I hope it all worked out for you 🧡

JRTfan · 05/01/2024 10:21

I've had no symptoms and am now 16 weeks and I mean zero sickness at all no food cravings nothing. I am not peeing more my boobs aren't bigger or sore..it's weird especially when you tell other people and they expect you to have a morning sickness horror story! But it's perfectly normal and some people just get lucky.
I have now developed a little bump and my scans have been fine. At the 8 week one I was absolutely convinced there was nothing there because I felt completely normal. So please if you are reading this and doing what I did panicking don't! Unfortunately some people have lots of symptoms and still miscarry it isn't a sign of a healthy pregnancy..

BellaRuby06 · 05/01/2024 13:48

Thank you for sharing this, it's really reassuring ☺️. I had a missed miscarriage in October and did have some symptoms (tired, sore boobs, constipation) and they suddenly stopped (which I now know was due to the pregnancy no longer progressing) so it feels strange this time to have no symptoms from the offset. But it's true what you said, symptoms are not an indicator of a successfully progressing pregnancy 🧡

Bee111xxxx · 05/01/2024 17:15

Hi all so I was the original poster. And I’m going to update with I didn’t ever get any symptoms apart from sore boobs that suddenly went away on the 05/02/23 I then had a scan on the 09/02/23 which confirmed I had a missed miscarriage at 8 weeks 6days. I’m currently pregnant again now having the same issues. But that being said my midwife has told me symptoms fluctuating in early pregnancy can be normal. If your worried ever call your local epu! 🩷🩷

Hi! Thank you for sharing and I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage and I really hope this pregnancy works out for you 🧡🤞.

I am tempted to call my EPU at some point just to see if they'll do a reassurance scan rather than paying privately, but if not I'll pay just to see. Being in limbo isn't fun!

Bee111xxxx · 05/01/2024 17:32

I’m in the exact same boat this time my local epu isn’t actually open until the 15th of January so I’m debating paying for one in the mean time although my 12 week scan is booked in for 23rd or Jan. the limbo is hard. I hope your pregnancy is successful also, ever need a chat pop me a message ! Xx

Ah that's lovely to hear. I had a scan yesterday and was dated as 8weeks5days which is spot on. All looking good, wriggling and a healthy heartbeat. Such a surprise tbh! Hope the good news continues 🧡
